I must admit do not know my leather history as many do and this was my first book that was in any way tied to historical accounts. I was not really expecting it to be so sexual (this was good) nor covering art on top of kink (I fully admit that I just searched "gay leather kink" in the Chicago Public Library search tab and went with what was available asap. I found myself quickly immersed in the content the more I read. On top of him surviving the Titanic- Jesus. There is a lot of history but told from an autobiographical lens, there are also really engaging pieces of poetry- this should be a film (but a well funded one). 8 out of 10 loads.
