Book Review - Unfuck Your Kink by Faith G. Harper Ph.D

by Gary Wasdin on October 11th, 2024 | 0 Comments

Dr. Harper has a way of approaching all kinds of topics with a very casual demeanor. She aims to make this difficult mental health and sexuality discussions friendlier, with numerous four-letter words sprinkled throughout. I've read a few of her other books, so I had to dive into Unfuck Your Kink. Dr. Harper introduces the book with the science of the brain. She writes at length about why we're wired the way we are and why certain sections of the brain light up when certain things excite us. As a huge nerd, I was actually really delighted by this section. It's kind of fun to know why we are the way we are. The rest of the book is dedicated to the pleasure and enjoyment. Dr. Harper goes on to apply her psychological expertise to kinksters everywhere. This is a short book but a fun one. It's an excellent beginner's guide to making peace with your new interests.
